As we strive towards gender parity in the workplace, menopause is a critical obstacle we have to negotiate. 4.3 million women aged 50+ are currently employed in the UK workforce.
Research by Nuffield Health found that 72% of women experiencing symptoms felt unsupported at work. This can lead to increased sick absence and women failing to put themselves forward, requesting reduced hours, or leaving the workplace altogether.
We are sleepwalking through Menopause with significant consequences.
